Where is Command Prompt in Windows 8.1

We can simply find the command prompt by using start option in the Windows 7, XP. But now we can not find a Command Prompt in the Windows 8.1 Start menu. You just need to follow the directions below to open Command Prompt in Windows 8.1.

Step 1: Click the “Start” button in Window 8.1 to go to Metro UI. On the left side in its bottom you will see a down arrow. Click this arrow to proceed to the apps.

Step 2: Now you will be in apps section. Here, you need to look for the app “Command Prompt”. If you swipe to the right side, you will find it at the end of the apps under the “Windows System” category as you can see in the image below. Click on it to open Command Prompt.

Step 3: You will see Command Prompt Window is opened before you and you can carry on working on it now.
